Sempoi Charity Funwalk at KL Bird Park

Sempoi Charity will be organizing a charity fun walk at the KL Bird Park on May 13 2017.

Sempoi Charity which was founded in June 2016, is formed by a multiracial group of young and dynamic people who are passionate about reaching out to the less fortunate and under privileged with their outreach programmes which are aimed to help those in need irrespective of gender, race and religion…

This 2.5km charity fun walk at the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is targeting 2,000 participants…

This fun walk is for charity, but it also serves as a platform to create awareness on the importance of preserving nature with its diverse flora and fauna, especially birds and promote a healthy lifestyle for families, you and me and all of us living in the city and what an awesome walk it would be in the bird park.. the kids and nature lovers will definitely have a wonderful time walking amidst the sweet chirping and cooing of the birds.

….and guess what.. Chickaboo, that famous Malaysian ostrich, who made himself famous by running along the Federal highway is said to be making an appearance as well…

Mr. Mike Manicka the President of Sempoi Charity said that Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is an apt venue for the fun walk as it houses a wide species of birds native to Malaysia in a lush natural setting right in the heart of the city, the green lung of Kuala Lumpur.

Funds raised from this walk will be channeled to JKOASM to support their educational outreach programmes. JKOASM is a NGO made out entirely of volunteers working with the Orang Asli Community. Some of their outreach programmes includes women’s empowerment workshops, youth leadership workshop and basic computer skills training to help the Orang Asli community to obtain basic skills, knowledge and confidence to be self-sufficient.

Some of the Funds will also use to support Sempoi Sahur – a street feeding programme to feed the homeless and destitute living on the streets of Kuala Lumpur during the holy month of Ramadhan and SC Cares for Kids through a graffiti mural art project at schools for disabled kids.

Sempoi Charity is hoping to raise RM15,000.00 to benefit JKOASM, feed and provide toiletry kits for 500 homeless individuals and paint 3 graffiti murals at schools for disabled children through the funds raised through this walk….. So come now, do your part for charity and also lets have a great time and keep our body and mind healthy doing it….

Sempoi Charity is at the same time welcoming and hoping for contributions from any corporate companies for their CSR initiatives. Companies are encouraged to help raise funds by taking up various sponsorship opportunities available including sponsorship of participation for children from homes and orphanages.

So if you are on the upper management or a director of any company, or just want to do your part for charity, please do contact Mr. Mike Manicka and the Sempoi Charity team and support the fund walk to hand in hand raise funds and make a difference for the betterment of the community as a whole.
